Mission support

At St John’s we have historically aimed to give one tenth of our income to charity. Unfortunately, due to our current difficult financial situation we have had temporarily to curtail this. We do still offer financial support through special collections - at Christmas especially - and at other times throughout the year. We also encourage individuals to make personal financial contributions to partners with whom we have links and other charities as part of our Christian responsiblity to share the riches and blessings which we have received from our generous God.

We currently support the following charitable groups:

• The Whitechapel Mission

• Place of Grace Ministries in Bangkok

We offer prayer support through our weekly Prayer Group held in the Church Room on a Monday afternoon at 2.30pm - al welcome.

St John’s has a close relationship with the Robinson family, who are loved and admired by our congregation, having been part of our church for many years. They are the founders of the Place of Grace, which provides a sanctuary to children living in poverty in Bangkok.
